Two Oelwein Men Arrested on Separate Warrants

Oelwein Police have arrested two local men on outstanding warrants.

Just before 11pm Sunday (Nov. 17), officers pulled over a vehicle in the 100 block of 5th Avenue SW. The driver, 53 year old Bennie Dillard of Oelwein, was taken into custody on a Buchanan County warrant: the original charge was Driving While his License is Suspended. Oelwein Police have charged him with another Driving While Suspended count.

Oelwein Police also arrested another local man on a Fayette County warrant. Shortly after 10pm Friday, 43 year old Michael Rickert was stopped in the 100 block of 8th Avenue NW. Rickert was wanted on a warrant for Voluntary Absence from Custody, from the West Union Residential Facility.
