Two Motorists Cited in Oelwein Accident

Oelwein Police have cited two motorists following a traffic accident Tuesday morning.

The accident happened at about 7am Tuesday, in the 2300 block of South Frederick.

A car driven by Shirley Maillie collided with a pickup driven by Jesse Mataya. No injuries were reported. The initial damage estimates to the vehicles were over $1,500.

Maillie was charged with making an improper turn, and Mataya was cited for failure to provide proof of insurance.
