Two Local Men Arrested by Oelwein Police

Two local men have been arrested by Oelwein Police, in separate cases.

At about 7pm Sunday (July 21), 51 year old Pedro Velez of Oelwein turned himself in, for a Marshalltown Police Department warrant, for Failure to Appear for a Department of Corrections Pre-trial Conference. Velez presented himself for arrest at the Oelwein Police Department, to satisfy the warrant.

Police were called at about 6:45pm Monday on the report of a suspicious person in the 200 block of 10th Street SE in Oelwein. 47 year old Randall Meike, also of Oelwein, was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
