Two Area Men in Custody After Assault Investigation

Two area men have been jailed, after authorities were called out to look into an alleged assault.

At about 3:45pm Wednesday (Oct. 28), the Fayette County Sheriff received a report of an assault at 18569 Lane Road, between Fayette and West Union.

Following the investigation, 25 year old Dallas James of Fayette was charged with Simple Assault.

Officers also took 20 year old Trevor Carroll of Fayette, into custody. Carroll was wanted for a Black Hawk County warrant for Failure to Appear. The original charge was OWI-First Offense.
