A Northeast Iowa truck driver is being charged, following an accident just south of Waverly.

Just before 9am Friday (Oct. 6), Bremer County deputies were called to an accident in the 2600 block of Highway 218.

35 year old Trevor Thuman of Delhi had stopped his semi in the middle of the travel portion of the highway. Meanwhile, 49 year old Sandra Burroughs of Cedar Falls, was driving north, when she avoided a colission with the semi, and came to a stop.

None of the drivers were taken to the hospital.

Thuman, the semi driver, was charged with Stopping on the Travelled Portion of a Roadway, and Failure to Signal.

The Bremer County Sheriff was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Iowa D.O.T., Waverly Ambulance, and Janesville Fire and First Responders.
