Traffic Stops in Oelwein Result in 2 Arrests, 2 Citations
Two Oelwein residents have been arrested and two have been cited, in separate recent incidents.
Shortly after 11pm Tuesday (March 16), Oelwein officers were called to the 10 block of 1st Avenue SE, for a reported disturbance in progress. Responding officers arrested 49 year old Rick Butterfield of Oelwein on a charge of Willful Injury.
A traffic stop at about 1:45pm Wednesday resulted in the arrest of an Oelwein resident. 46 year old Kimberli Giesbrecht was charged with Driving While her License is Revoked.
Oelwein Police pulled over a vehicle at about 12:10am today (Thursday) in the 200 block of West Charles. The driver, 55 year old Amy Murphy was cited for Driving While Suspended. She also received a warning for an inoperable tail light.
And at 2:45am this morning (Thursday), officers stopped a vehicle in the 1200 block of 3rd Street NW. The driver, 28 year old Dakota Lovell, was cited for Driving While License is Suspended.
