An area woman faces numerous charges following a recent traffic stop.


The Winneshiek County Sheriff pulled a vehicle over Friday night (Nov. 3) at about 8:30pm, just north of Calmar.

The driver, 35 year old Tauren Gess of Decorah, was then arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated, interference with official acts, child endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), unlawful possession of a prescription drug, not having a valid driver's license and failure to provide proof of financial liability.
