
Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest for Drugs, Paraphernalia
A Northeast Iowa man has been arrested for illegal drugs, following a weekend traffic stop in Fayette County.
At about 5am Saturday (March 17), a Fayette County deputy pulled a car over on Highway 150 in Maynard for failing to display their registration plates. A passenger, identified as 30 year old Zacharias Stowe of Hazleton, was arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Stowe was held in the county jail until an appearance before a magistrate.
The Fayette County sheriff also received a report of a disturbance at a residence on Pearl Street in Hawkeye. The investigating officer arrested 41 year old Tracy Bowling of Hawkeye on a charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was also held until he made a court appearance.
