Today is the Best Day of the Year to Enjoy a DQ Blizzard
Happy Miracle Treat Day!
Today, July 27th, is a great day for ice cream! More specifically, Blizzards. If you visit a local participating Dairy Queen today and order a Blizzard, some of that money will benefit the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City! The website reads:
"Helping kids in your community has never been so sweet! For every Blizzard® Treat sold on Miracle Treat Day at participating DQ® locations, $1 or more will be donated to local children’s hospitals through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals."
DQ has a ton of different Blizzards available right now, including the limited edition flavors Peanut Butter Poppy Chow, S'mores, Oreo Brookie, Cotton Candy, and Choco-Dipped Strawberry. Participating Miracle Treat Day locations here in the Corridor include:
- 100 Center Point Rd, Hiawatha
- 3304 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids
- 2825 Johnson Ave NW, Cedar Rapids
- 2100 6th St SW, Cedar Rapids
- 1101 Eagleview Blvd, Marion
- 100 Hwy 30 SE, Mount Vernon
- 101 Prairie Rose Ln, Solon
- 1015 Hwy 1 W, Iowa City
- 911 Cedar St, Tipton
In just a few weeks, Brain and I will be headed down to Iowa City for our annual Radiothon. Over the course of two days, we will share stories from families and kids who have been directly impacted by the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. We are so lucky to have a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital right in our backyard! Radiothon is coming up on August 17th and 18th from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. We can't wait to see how much we can raise for the UI Children's Hospital this year!
