‘Toby Keith: American Icon’ Setlist + Pictures
Toby Keith's tribute concert opened with a Carrie Underwood performance and closed with nearly two dozen artists on stage singing the late singer's most well-known song.
The telecast may scramble the order or even omit a few performances, but below you'll find the official setlist from the taping of Toby Keith: American Icon. It airs Wednesday night at 9PM ET on NBC.
- Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson are four of the artists who paid tribute to Keith with a song.
- Proceeds from the concert will go to the Toby Keith Foundation, his charity supporting the OK Kids Korral, and Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
- Keith died on Feb. 5 after a two-year battle with stomach cancer.
Unexpected collaborations, powerful memories, a few great country drinking songs and one brown horse were highlights of this night in Nashville. The taping was July 29 at Bridgestone Arena, and if any artist left before the show ended, we didn't notice.
Underwood was first, and when Parker McCollum led an all-call version of "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue," she was there singing along. So too was Keith's family, including wife Tricia and kids Stelen, Shelley and Krystal.
