The Fayette County Sheriff reports that 3 Northeast Iowa residents have been arrested in separate incidents that happened Thursday, Friday and Saturday (June 2).


In the latest incident, at about 11:30pm Saturday, the sheriff was alerted of a disturbance in Hawkeye. Responding deputies arrested 61 year old Janice Jordan of Hawkeye, charging her with Domestic Abuse Causing Bodily Injury. She was taken to the Fayette County jail to make an appearance before a judge. The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted by Hawkeye First Responders, Tri-State Ambulance, and Sumner Ambulance.

Just before 7:30pm Friday, the sheriff was called to a disturbance at a residence on Mill Street in Clermont. 37 year old Kinte Smith of Postville got into an argument with the resident. During the confrontation, Smith kicked in the front door of the home, and fled before deputies arrived. Smith was arrested a short time later, east of West Union; he is being charged with 4th Degree Criminal Mischief.

And last Thursday, authorities were called to a disturbance at a residence on Cass Street in Westgate. After an investigation, 31 year old Amanda Bowser of Westgate was arrested for Disorderly Conduct.
