How stinkin' cute!

This weekend, Last Hope Animal Rescue hosted their annual Barks & Brew fundraiser at NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids. Since we work with Last Hope for our Furry Friday segment, and because that's where I adopted Tater from, we decided to check out the event. There were all sorts of vendors there with toys and treats and clothes and bandanas, but my favorite was the little pink truck, Kaitlyn's Pupcakes!

I've heard of Kaitlyn's Pupcakes before, but this weekend was my first time seeing the truck at an event. As you probably guessed, it's owned by a woman named Kaitlyn who lives over in Tiffin. The official website says she attended the Culinary & Baking School at Kirkwood and specializes in making cakes and cupcakes for pups. The truck, which is named Maggie, first rolled out last year and make appearances at events all over the Corridor.

In addition to cakes and cupcakes, Kaitlyn also sells super cute toys and other homemade treats. Tater and I left with unicorn-shaped peanut butter pumpkin cookies. As the owner of a dog that has a ton of allergies, I'm always on the hunt for treats that have very basic ingredients, and Tater seemed to love the ones we bought on Saturday! It was a win-win.

If you're interested in checking out Kaitlyn's Pupcakes, you can place an order on her website HERE, but you can also stop by the pink truck at local events like the Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmers Market for additional options. The Facebook page is frequently updated with info on where the truck will be parked next! You can check that out HERE.

A big thanks to everyone who came out to support Last Hope Animal Rescue on Saturday, and kudos to them for putting on a fantastic event! I know Tater had a great time...
