Thefts on East Side of Oelwein Under Investigation

The Oelwein Police Department is investigating 2 reports of theft, occurring 20 minutes apart Thursday afternoon (March 28), on the east side of town.

On Thursday at 2:15pm, Oelwein Police were called to a reported theft in the 600 block of 1st Avenue NE.

Then at 2:36pm, police were summoned again, to a theft report in the 10 block of 1st Avenue SE.

No other information on the thefts was available.

Both incidents remain under investigation.
