The Stupid Reason This Iowa Tik Tok Star Got Banned
Gucci the cow and his partner Mason Corkery of Jesup took Iowa, as well as the whole country by storm. A few hilarious videos made the pair go viral on Tik Tok earlier this year.
The duo really took off when Corkery went on a trip with the bovine to Dairy Queen. That video got almost five million views overnight. Ever since this major hit, Corkery's followers have encouraged him to take his now 11-month old cow on different adventures.
One of the most popular ones involved a visit to Chick-Fil-A.
One outing involved Mason, Gucci, and Starbucks. Children came up to the window to get a chance to pet the gentle giant. Just like his previous visit to Dairy Queen Gucci went for a pup cup. You can almost even see the cashier's huge smile through her mask as she hands over their order.
However, it might be a while before we see any new videos from them. Earlier this week Mason's account was banned indefinitely due to "multiple community guideline violations." A few things that could violate community guidelines include; violent extremism, hateful behavior, using slurs, weapons, or controlled substances.
The reason for him being banned from the app? According to Corkery, it was all because of a donut.
"One of my videos were flagged for cruelty when I gave him a bath and fed him donuts," explained the social media star. "...just an example of some of the absurd violation allegations, every time my appeal had overturned any restrictions they imposed."
His account is still up and followers can see his content on the channel, but Corkery cannot get access to the account.
In a social media post, Corkery said,
"Super duper disappointed, all my work down the drain for the last 365+ days I've been working on this channel."
The Jesup resident is currently in the process of reaching out to the Tik Tok legal team to see if this can be overturned. Allegations of community guideline violations have come up against him before and has come out victorious against every single one of them.
"Censorship sensitivity is walking a fine line on the app," Corkery said.
