Test Tornado Drill Scheduled for Today

As part of Severe Weather Awareness week in Iowa, the National Weather service, in conjunction with emergency services around the state, will be conducting a mock tornado drill.

A test tornado watch will begin at 10am, and last an hour.

At 10:15am, a test torndao warning will be conducted.

Live warnings will be issued through the Emergency Alert System.

Again, this will be a test. Emergency Management agencies will be participating, as well as some other entities across the state.
