A young Ossian motorist is being charged with causing a two-vehicle accident in Calmar.


According to the Winneshiek County Sheriff, it happened at about 6:30pm Tuesday (Oct. 10) at the intersection of Highway 150 and Clay Street, on the south side of Calmar.

A car driven by 14 year old Cael Kuboushek of Ossian had pulled out from a stop sign on Clay Street, and collided with a southbound SUV on Highway 150, driven by 59 year old Barbara Miller of Fayette.

No one was injured, but there was a total of $8,500 in property damage.

Kuboushek was charged with Failure to Obey a Stop Sign.
