An oil leak is being pinpointed as the cause of a vehicle fire in Fayette County earlier this week.

The Fayette County Sheriff responded to a report of a car fire at about 3pm Monday (June 24), in the 24,000 block of Juniper Road, north of West Union.

A deputy at the scene immediately ordered the occupants of the vehicle to get out, and the officer helped them get to a safe location, away from the burning vehicle.
