In this week's gotta-read-it-to-believe-it news, a 19-year-old was arrested Tuesday (Apr. 2) after crashing a stolen car...unfortunately for him, into a very famous person's property, namely the Rhode Island residence of Taylor Swift.

As reported by various outlets and according to the Westerly Sun, the driver was Shykeim Edwin Lewis, 19, of Hartford, R.I. The teen hit the wall surrounding Swift's property, which spun him out into the entrance gate. Lewis tried to run off from the scene, but quickly found himself in the hands of the law, resulting in some heavy charges: Reckless driving by engaging police in high-speed pursuit, obstructing an officer, felony receiving stolen goods, and driving when license is suspended or denied.

Ouch, right? Swift herself, however, saw the humor in the situation and had the perfect response, captured by Instagram account commentsbycelebs:

"Nothing good starts in a getaway car," the superstar observed, referencing her 2017 song “Getaway Car," from the album reputation. Although the lyrics are perfectly apt for the current event at hand, Swift wrote the song with Jack Antonoff about escaping a failing relationship.

According to TMZ, the crash was the result of a police pursuit when officers attempted a traffic stop and the teen took off. Nobody—including Swift, who owns several properties—was at the house when the crash occurred.
