Severe thunderstorms dumped heavy rain and produced strong, damaging winds when they rolled across northeast Iowa Monday night.

A new reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in the unsolved abduction and murders of Elizabeth Collins and Lyric Cook-Morrissey seven years ago.

The State Fire Marshal was at the scene Friday morning investigating the cause.

The cause is under investigation.

The victim died later at a local hospital, Evansdale Fire Chief Ryan Phillips confirmed.

One person was taken to the hospital after being pulled from a burning home in Evansdale early Tuesday.

The State Fire Marshall's Office has been called in to investigate the cause.
