Suspicious Vehicle in Oelwein Results in an Arrest

The investigation into a suspicious vehicle in Oelwein, has resulted in the arrest of a Readlyn man.

At about 2am last Wednesday (Dec. 4), Oelwein Police officers discovered a suspicious vehicle on a property in the 15,000 block of 18th Street in Oelwein. Following an investigation, 37 year old Matthew Huebner was taken into custody for OWI-third offense, Driving While his License is Barred, and Assault on Persons of a Certain Occupation.

Oelwein Police are also investigating a theft and some vandalism. The theft was reported Thursday night in the 200 block of South Frederick. The criminal mischief incident was called in to police Thursday morning, from the 100 block of 8th Avenue NW. No other information was released.
