A report of a suspicious man in rural Fayette County, has resulted in his arrest.


At about 7pm Sunday (April 18), the Fayette County Sheriff received calls, reporting that a suspicious man was near the 12,000 block of Lynx Road, near West Union.

Deputies located the man in question, southwest of West Union. The suspect was identified as 31 year old Zachary Moser of Waverly. Moser was held in the Fayette County jail on outstanding arrest warrants, for failure to appear, on the original charge of public intoxication, and violation of a no-contact order. Moser was held on $2,500 cash bond.

Deputies were called out Saturday afternoon to the 16,000 block of Lincoln Road, for a two vehicle accident. A pickup driven by 26 year old Elizabeth Meyer of Fayette, was slowing to make a left turn, when it was struck by a vehicle driven by 28 year old Dru Kueker of Stanley. Injuries were minor, and Kueker's vehicle was totaled.

And on Saturday night, officers were called to an accident involving a car and a deer, near Nature Road and Oak Road, northwest of West Union. A 17 year old male was driving westbound when he struck a deer. Injuries were minor, and the 2010 Chevy Malibu was totaled.
