“Suspicious” Man Arrested after Found Passed Out

Authorities have arrested a local man, after finding him passed out on a rural road.

Just before 6pm Saturday (July 8), the Fayette County Sheriff received a complaint of a suspicious man near the area of Canoe and Diamond Roads, south of Clermont.

Responding deputies found a man who was passed out near the 24,000 block of Canoe Road.

Following an investigation, 37 year old Shawn Parrish of Oelwein was taken into custody on a charge of Public Intoxication-2nd Offense.

Parrish was taken to the Fayette County jail in West Union where he was held until his initial court appearance.
