“Suspicious” Female Arrested for Intoxication and Drugs

Authorities have arrested a Sumner woman after receiving a report of a suspicious person walking along a road.

The incident was reported to the Fayette County sheriff on about 12:45am Thursday (Sept. 14). A caller notified the sheriff that a suspicious woman was walking along Highway 18, west of West Union.

Following an investigation, 32 year old Chyanne Slick of Sumner was arrested on charges of Public Intoxication-1st Offense, and Possession of Prescription Medicine without a Prescription.

Slick was held in the Fayette County jail in West Union until her initial court appearance.
