Fayette County authorities have arrested a West Union man who was hiding from the law in a locked bathroom.

On Thursday (March 4) the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received information on a man wanted on arrest warrants, who was reportedly hiding in a West Union home. 33 year old Jesse Allen Irish was taken into custody on a Fayette County warrant for Violation of a Pre-trial Release , with the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance. The sheriff also charged Irish with Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana 2nd Offense, and Interference with Official Acts.

During the investigation, officers learned that Irish had been in a traffic accident the night before, at about 11:30pm on Highway 18, east of Clermont. No injuries were reported. In that incident, Irish lost control of his vehicle and crashed. Irish was then charged with No Driver's License, No Proof of Insurance, Failure to Maintain Control, and Striking Fixtures on a Highway.

Irish was held in the Fayette County jail on $1,000 bond.
