Stop Sign Violation Leads to OWI Charge

A Maynard motorist faces charges in a traffic stop in Fayette County.

At about 11:30pm Friday (May 13), a Fayette County deputy pulled a vehicle over at the intersection of county road W-14 and Highway 3, northwest of Oelwein, on a traffic violation.

The driver, 46 year old Jennifer Kohlmeyer, was arrested for OWI first offense, and failure to stop for a stop sign.

She was held until her initial court appearance.
