A suspect in a stolen vehicle case has been arrested, in a Northeast Iowa library.


At about 3:45pm Tuesday afternoon (Jan. 16), the Fayette County Sheriff and West Union Police were notified of a vehicle stolen from Howard County. The vehicle was later found at the Casey's General Store in West Union.

Officers were able to get information that the driver was in the West Union Library, making threats to himself and others.

The suspect, identified as 19 year old Brandon Kimber of Rochester, Minnesota, was arrested in the library without any further incident. Kimber is being charged with Theft in the 1st Degree, for having in his possession, a stolen 2014 Toyota Venza.

If convicted, Kimber could face up to 10 years in prison.
