We are in the midst of Severe Weather Awareness Week in Iowa.

Each day, the National Weather Service highlights a specific storm hazzard, with safety tips regarding each scenario.

Today, Wednesday, March 29th, is focused on Tornadoes.

There will be a statewide tornado drill, beginning at 10am. The service will start with a mock tornado watch, followed by a test tornado warning at 10:30am, and the all-clear at 11am.

Along with the weather service, numerous agencies around the state, including city offices, fire departments, media outlets and schools will participate.
