St. Ansgar Man Identified in Deadly Tractor Accident

The Iowa State Patrol has released the name of a Northeast Iowa man killed in a tractor accident.

The location of the accident was on State Line Road in Mitchell County, southwest of Lyle, Minnesota.  Authorities were called to the scene at about 8pm Wednesday (June 30).

A tractor driven by 42 year old Robert Grundel of Saint Ansgar, went out of control, entered a ditch, and rolled over.

Grundel died from his injuries. No one else was hurt.

The accident was covered by the Iowa State Patrol, with assistance from the Mitchell County Sheriff, Mower County Minnesota Sheriff, and Lyle, Minnesota Fire Department.
