Weather conditions are being cited as a cause of a one-vehicle rollover in Fayette County.

Just before 11am Saturday (Dec. 12), the Fayette County Sheriff was notified of an accident at the intersection of Hemlock Road and Heron Road, east of Fayette. 68 year old John Frey of Fayette was headed south on Heron, when he lost control at the intersection due to slick road conditions.

Frey's pickup slid into the ditch and rolled onto it's side. No one was injured, but there was $10,000 damage to Frey's 2020 Chevy Silverado.

The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted at the scene by the Fayette Ambulance, Fayette Fire Department, and Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
