Johnson County authorities are investigating a shooting late Wednesday night (March 27), that put 2 people in the hospital with gunshot wounds.


Just before midnight, the sheriff's office received a 911 call from Roberts Ferry Road in Tiffin, reporting that a fight between 2 people, ended with a shooting.

Officers responded to the scene and found that both people had sustained gunshot wounds. Both were taken to University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Names have not been released pending the ongoing investigation. Authorities indicate that there is no danger to the public.

The Johnson County Sheriff was assisted by the Coralville Police Department, North Liberty Police Department, Tiffin First Responders, Johnson County Ambulance Service and the Johnson County Attorney's Office.
