Sheriff Searches Home, Arrests Resident for Drugs

The search of a West Union home has resulted in the arrest of a local man on various drug charges.

At about 3:30pm Thursday (Sept. 26), the Fayette County Sheriff executed a search warrant at a residence on East Plum Street in West Union.

After the search, officers took 42 year old David Shannon into custody, charging him with Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Offense-Methamphetamine,  Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Offense-Marijuana, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs,  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Stolen property.

Shannon was taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail, where he currently awaits initial appearance. The Fayette County Sheriff's Office was assisted by West Union Police Department.
