The Fayette County Sheriff reports a couple more traffic accidents attributed to roaming White-Tail Deer.


Thursday evening (Nov. 2nd), at about 6:30pm, 34 year old Shawn Kuhse of Elkader was driving north on Cedar Road, north of Wadena, when a he swerved to avoid crashing into a deer in the road. The maneuver caused him to lose control and drive into the ditch. No one was injured, but Kuhse's 2002 Dodge Stratus was totaled. Kuhse was charged with Failure to Maintain Control.

And at about 7am on October 26th, the Fayette County Sheriff got a 911 call, reporting that a car hit a deer on Ironwood Road, northeast of West Union. A van driven by 52 year old Pamela O'Hare struck the deer, causing $5,000 in damages, but no injuries.
