
Sheriff Looking for Suspect Who Robbed an Eastern Iowa Bank
The Linn County Sheriff is asking the public for help in locating a man who allegedly robbed a bank in Walford.
At about 11:30am Wednesday (September 15), authorities were notified of a bank robbery at the Central State Bank, on Highway 151 in Walford.

The suspect was described as a male, unknown race, about 5'10" tall, average build, wearing blue jeans, blue hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses and a mask. No weapons were displayed, and no one was injured.
The suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
His getaway vehicle was a dark colored Chevrolet SUV with no license plates. It was headed south from Walford on Highway 151.
Anyone with information on the suspect or the robbery is asked to contact the Linn County Sheriff's Office, or Linn County Crime Stoppers.
The bank robbery is still under investigation.

Oelwein Police have arrested a local man on an outstanding warrant.
Shortly after 6:15pm Wednesday (Sept. 15), 32 year old Skylar Buhr of Oelwein was taken into custody in the 1200 block of South Frederick Avenue.
Buhr was wanted on a Fayette County warrant, for the original charge of Failure to Complete "IDAP", or Iowa Domestic Abuse Program.

Oelwein Police were called out to a two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning (Sept. 14).
It happened shortly after 10am, in the ten block of East Charles Street.
A car driven by Abby Green, collided with a pickup driven by Robert Ries. No one was injured.
Green's 2007 Dodge Charger had $5,000 in damages. Ries' 2020 Chevrolet Silverado sustained $1,500 in damage.
