Sheriff Investigates One-Car Accident at Roundabout

Buchanan County authorities report a one-vehicle traffic accident at the roundabout south of Fairbank.

It happened at about 7:30pm Friday (July 20) at the intersection of Baxter Avenue and 120th Street, south of Fairbank.

A car driven by Amber Goedken of Oelwein, was traveling east through the roundabout, when she struck a road sign in the raised curb median.

No one was injured. Damage was estimated at $5,200.
