Sheriff Investigates Car Striking a Parked Truck

Winneshiek County authorities are investigating a one-vehicle accident in Ossian.

It happened shortly after 6pm Saturday (Sept. 28). A vehicle driven by 57 year old Troy Troge of Ossian was driving east on Brooks Street, when his car crossed the center line and collided with a parked truck and trailer.

Troge left the scene, but was found by deputies a short time later.

Troge had a medical condition that resulted in him being aircared to a LaCrosse hospital.

The accident is under investigation and charges are pending. There was $6500 damage to Troge's 2000 Buick Park Avenue.
