Sheriff Arrests 2 for OWI, Plus Motorcycle Accident

2 area residents face charges in separate driving while intoxicated incidents.

Shortly after 1am Saturday (April 22), a Fayette County deputy stopped a vehicle on Canoe Road, just south of Clermont, for a traffic violation. The driver, 67 year old Donald Webster of Elgin, was arrested on a charge of Operating While Intoxicated-1st Offense.

Also Saturday, a deputy pulled a vehicle over in Fayette County for driving erratically. The driver, 42 year old Loretta Borcherding of Elgin, was taken into custody on a charge of Operating While Intoxicated-1st Offense.

The Fayette County Sheriff is investigating a motorcycle accident just south of Arlington. 41 year old Donna Mohlis of Lawler was driving a motorcycle south on 187, when the bike went out of control. The motorcycle ended up in a roadside ditch. Mohlis was not hurt, but there was $10,000 damage to her 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
