Sex Abuse Near Maynard Lands Indy Man in Jail

An Independence man faces charges for the reported sexual abuse of a woman near Maynard.

On Tuesday (Feb. 4), the Fayette County Sheriff got a report of an assault on a woman in the Maynard area.

The investigation determined that 36 year old Johnny Junior Monigold of Independence assaulted a female at her home.

Monigold was arrested the next day, and charged with Assault with Intent to Commit Sexual Abuse Causing No Injury.

He was held in the Fayette County jail until his initial court appearance.
