Semi Trucks Collide on Interstate Near Brandon

An accident involving 2 semi trucks closed down Interstate 380 for a couple of hours Monday night (Feb. 5).

The Buchanan County Sheriff was alerted of the accident near the Brandon exit of the northbound lanes, just before 7pm.

A southbound semi had left the road, crossed the median, and collided with another semi going in the opposite direction in the northbound lane.

One of the drivers was injured; he was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. No names have been released.

One of the semi trailer trucks had stopped across both southbound lanes. The interstate was closed for about 2 hours until the accident scene could be cleared.
