
Semi Crashes Into Bridge Near Wadena, Injuring the Driver
An Elgin truck driver was sent to the hospital, after his rig crashed into a bridge.
The accident happened Tuesday (March 2) on County Road W-51, north of Bighorn Road, north of Wadena.
Responding deputies determined that 67 year old Randy Miller was driving the truck south, when he swerved to miss a deer in the road. The semi crashed into a guardrail and a bridge, coming to rest in a ditch.

Miller was taken by private vehicle to an area hospital, treated and released. His 2016 Freightliner sustained $20,000 in damage.
The Wadena Fire Department assisted the Fayette County Sheriff at the scene. The accident is still under investigation.
