Search Warrants at Clermont Home Net 5 Arrests
The Fayette County Sheriff has arrested 5 people, after searching a home in Clermont for stolen property.
At about 10pm Thursday (Sept. 24), the sheriff executed the search warrant at 401 Union Street in Clermont. The sheriff also obtained a second warrant to search the home.
Officers found multiple drug paraphernalia, illegal narcotics, firearms and money. After the investigation, deputies arrested 32 year old Todd Groom of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, 39 year old Destiny Chambers of Decorah, 41 year old Shannon Thompson of Clermont, 32 year old Luke Lembke of Clermont, and 20 year old Jordan Kline of Clermont.
Groom was charged with being a Felon in Possession of a firearm-2 Counts, Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Used, Possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine), Possession of drug paraphernalia, Possession of firearm and controlled substance.
Chambers is being charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Used, being a Felon in possession of a firearm-2 counts, Possession of Firearm and Controlled Substance.
Thompson is charged with Gathering where controlled substances are used.
Lembke was also charged with Gathering Where Controlled Substances are being used, possession of Methampetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
Kline was taken into custody for Gathering where Controlled Substances are used, Possession of Controlled Substance-2nd Offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sheriff Marty Fisher notes that this is the 4th search warrant executed at the same residence over the last 9 months. He also reminds residents that if you see something suspicious in your neighborhood, to report it.
