Search of Elgin Home Results in More Drug Charges

An Elgin man, arrested over the weekend for a warrant and drug charges, faces even more charges after authorities searched his home yesterday.

At about 4:15pm Thursday (Jan. 16), the Fayette County Sheriff executed a search warrant at a home on Almira Street in Elgin. The search resulted in the seizure of multiple drugs and narcotics equipment.

32 year old Michael McAllen was then charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance-3rd Offense, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

McAllen was being held in the Fayette County jail from his arrest last Saturday, on a warrant for a parole violation, plus 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance-3rd Offense, and Possession of Drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $10,000.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff, the case remains under investigation, and more charges are pending.
