Rescue workers from Northeast Iowa and Southwest Wisconsin will be back at the scene today of an apparent drowning on the Mississippi River.
The Grant County Sheriff received a call Wednesday, reporting that a 29 year old Chicago woman was missing.

The woman and her friends were camping on Wyalusing Beach, along the river. She disappeared in the water early Wednesday, and is presumed drowned.

Volunteers searched for the woman's body until Wednesday evening, and will resume the search this morning(Thursday, Aug. 4).

Rescue workers and volunteers from numerous departments in Northeast Iowa and Southwest Wisconsin have joined the search, from Marquette, McGregor, Garnavillo, Cassville, Bagley, Bloomington, Glen Haven, Boscobel, Blue River, and Prairie du Chien.

The Iowa and Wisconsin DNR assisted, along with Wyalusing State Park Rangers, Grant County Emergency Management, Clayton County Sheriff, the Southwest Technical Rescue Team, as well as West Grant and Lancaster EMT's.
