School Board Elections are Today

Northeast Iowa residents will be going to the polls today (Tuesday, Sept. 12), to fill seats on local community school boards.

In Oelwein, four director districts are open. Three of the incumbents are running for re-election. They are: Dana Bostian, Bob Kalb and Charlene Stocker. Incumbent Dave Schmidt has decided not to run for re-election.

The other candidates are Greg Parmely, Julie Williams, Jeremy Logan, and Dustin Franzen.

Polling places for the Oelwein Community School district, are: the Oelwein Public Library, the Stanley Union Church, and the Hazleton City Hall.

Polls will be open from noon to 8pm.
