Several northeast Iowa school districts are either closed or delaying the start of classes again today.

Road conditions across the region continue to be very poor for traveling. Snow-covered and slick surfaces have forced several districts to alter their bus routes.

Below is the list of school announcements for Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019.


AGWSR: Classes starting on time; Buses on hard surface routes only

Allamakee: Delayed 2 hours

Aplington-Parkersburg: Classes starting on time; Buses running where possible

Charles City: CLOSED

Clarksville: Buses on hard surface routes only

Decorah: CLOSED

Dike-New Hartford: Buses running on time; Buses on hard surface routes only

Dunkerton: Delayed 2 hours; Buses on hard surface routes only

Gladbrook-Reinbeck: Buses on hard surface routes only (morning and afternoon)

Howard-Winneshiek: CLOSED

Independence (including St. John's): 2-hour late start as scheduled; Emergency bus routes

Iowa Falls-Alden: Buses on hard surface routes only

Nashua-Plainfield: CLOSED

New Hampton: CLOSED; Parent-Teacher Conferences held as scheduled; Teachers should report by 1 PM

North Butler: Delayed 2 hours; Buses on hard surface routes only

North Fayette Valley: Delayed 2 hours; No early dismissal; Parent-Teacher Conference held as scheduled

North Tama: Buses on hard surface routes only (morning and afternoon)

North Winneshiek: CLOSED

South Hardin: Classes starting on time; Buses running where possible

South Winneshiek: CLOSED

Sumner-Fredericksburg: Delayed 2 hours; No morning activities or practices; Buses running where possible

Tripoli: Classes starting on time; Buses running where possible

Turkey Valley: CLOSED

Union Community: Classes starting on time; Buses on hard surface routes only

Wapsie Valley (including Community Lutheran - Readlyn): Delayed 2 hours; Before school practices canceled

West Central: Buses running where possible

West Delaware (including St. Mary's): Buses on hard surface routes only
