“S” Curves Accident Under Investigation

The Fayette County Sheriff is investigating a weekend accident just east of Oelwein.

It happened shortly after 7am Saturday (Feb. 27th) at the intersection of Highway 3 and "L" Avenue, the Stanley "S" curves.

A westbound pickup driven by Keith Koch of West Union, attempted to make a left turn from the highway onto the county road, when a vehicle behind him, driven by Abdullahi Isaaq of Postville, tried to pass.

The two collided in the intersection, causing about $5,000 damage to the vehicles.

No one was injured.
