Rollover Accident on Slick Roads Sends One to Hospital
One person was injured in a rollover accident early Christmas Day near Decorah.
According to the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office, it happened shortly after 12:30am Tuesday, on Highway 150 near 140th Street, in Washington Township.
A pickup driven by 19 year old Adam Krieger of Decorah was northbound on 150, when he approached a curve. Light snow was covering the road, causing some areas to be slippery.
Krieger lost control of his vehicle, which went off the road, through a ditch, and rolled, landing on it's wheels.
Krieger's passenger, whose name was not released, was taken to the Decorah hospital for treatment. There was $2,500 damage to his 1999 Ford Ranger.
