Recent Traffic Stops in Oelwein Result in Citations

A young Waterloo man has been cited for a driving violation during a traffic stop in Oelwein.

At about 1:30am Sunday (May 14), Oelwein Police pulled over a car in the 100 block of North Frederick. Following an investigation, the driver, 19 year old Jacob Charriez of Waterloo, was cited for Driving While his License is Suspended.

Oelwein Police also performed a traffic stop late Friday night (May 12), in the 10 block of 2nd Street SE. 25 year old Ashlee Meisgeier of Maynard was cited for Driving While her License is Suspended, No Insurance, and Driving Without a Valid Registration.

And Oelwein Police are looking into a theft incident. At about 2:30pm Friday, authorities got a report of a theft in the 200 block of 5th Street NW. It remains under investigation.
