DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) — Authorities are investigating a rash of burglaries over the weekend at municipal offices and businesses in Dubuque, Delaware and Clayton counties.

City halls in Cascade and Worthington were broken into. The Delaware County Sheriff's Department says there was also a break-in at Delhi City Hall, where a small amount of cash was taken.

Similar break-ins were reported at businesses in Delhi and a health clinic in Cascade. The Clayton County Sheriff's Department is investigating burglaries in recent weeks at businesses in Guttenberg and Garnavillo, and the City Hall in Edgewood was broken into sometime overnight Sept. 30.

Investigators think the burglaries might be linked. Delaware County Deputy Eric Brooks says investigators have no leads but are talking with nearby communities.
