The President of the United States will be in Northeast Iowa today (Thursday, July 26th).

President Donald Trump will visit Dubuque County to attend a roundtable today.
Rep. Rod Blum announced the visit Sunday.

Trump will attend a roundtable discussion at Northeast Iowa Community College in Peosta, on the topic of workforce development. The roundtable was organized by 1st District Congressman Rod Blum of Dubuque. Trump is scheduled to arrive at around 11am this (Thursday) morning.

Today's visit wouldn't be Trump's first in Dubuque County. He addressed a Dubuque Regional Airport crowd in January 2016 when he was campaigning for the GOP's presidential nomination.

Blum is facing a re-election challenge from Democrat Abby Finkenauer, who also is a Dubuque native.
