Power Out in Waterloo Early Today; Services Restored
A couple of thousand Waterloo residents were without electricity early this (Tuesday) morning.
According to MidAmerica Energy, about 2,300 of their customers did not have electricity starting at about 4:15am. Power was restored about an hour later.
The cause of the power outage was determined to be equipment failure.
The affected area was from the 100 block of River Road, south to 400 Sunset Road; and from the 700 block of South Street, west to the 1100 block of Campbell Avenue.
The equipment was repaired, and full power has been restored.
